Difference of 96 C&L and 02?

Difference of 96 C&L and 02?
Whats the difference between the 96 c&l intakes and the 02-04's. Do the newer ones have a different positioning of sensors or somthing? Wouldn't a mass air flow calibrated for 19lb for a 02 gt work the same for a 96 with 19lb.
