Default Why doesnt my GT play my backup CD-R???

Well i have a 03 GT and the cd changer will play my backup cd-r's but it WILL NOT play "ALL" of the tracks on the cd? Is it because its an cd-r?? What are the differences anyway?? cd-r, cd+r, dont get it??

A lot of factory players won't play some CDRs. It should play them, but did you make sure to finalize all your CDRs before trying them?

The computer should ask you if you want to finalize your cd. It'll even tell you if you don't then it might not work in some players.

Put the CDs back in your computer and see if you can try to finalize them.

I have had my regular in dash player not play like the last 5 tracks of a 15 track album. It eventually plays em but you have to wait like 2 minutes for it to load

The 6 disk changer does not play MP3's. If you burn in wave format you wont have a problem.

Also....

CD-R - very picky for car cd players to pick up...

CD+R - very easy for cd players to pick up.. Use them all the time in my 02 Mach 460, works perfect.

there's no such thing as cd+r. kraft, i think you're getting confused with dvd+r & dvd-r. dvd-r has higher compatibility in older and newer DVD players than +r. that's not what this topic is about though.

i never finalize my cd-rs and they all play fine. try burning at a lower speed. i found burning at like 48x (48x on PC & 24x on laptop) sometimes causes some songs to skip. i usually burn them at 16x for audio cds. haven't had a problem since.
