If I read the original posting correctly, he's looking to put the MSD stuff in a '62 T-bird. In that application it will definitely outperform anything else one could get, and probably add a bunch of HP at higher revs.[/align][/align]As for newer cars with DIS and/or COPS, what 2000GT said is right on--the stock ignition system is pretty damned good and entirely adequate for nearly any streetable machine.[/align] [/align][/align]Edit: and I also agree thatwhatever someone selling you something saysis hardly creditable evidence ofthe superiority of their product...[/align]

whoops.... I missed that one. +1, on a older car, espcially a 60s model, anything aftermarket will be better than stock... just don't expect massive gains on a nearly stock car.
