First mod, Steeda Tri-Ax. Second Mod, Gears! 3.73 if you're planning on a blower later on. 4.10 if planning on staying NA. I don't know if you have a 5-speed or not but getting the new shifter is well worth it. The gears are going to be more than just the 189.99. You've gotta pay for the install andadd on another80 or so for the speed calibrator.Removing the air silencerwon't do a bit of good for you. If you get any gains from it at all it will be marginal. It's a verycontroversial topic. Do it if you want. Personally I won't wouldn't waste my time. Do get the K&N filter though. Next I'd get a good cat back system and thenSteeda Underdrive Pulleys with a timing adjuster. This is how I started out and I was very pleased with every mod I added.

I agree with that but you can get the gears cheaper. Look on Ebay, you can get used ones at your own risk or you can buy new ones occassionally for $130-150. The speedcal will set you back (hidden cost) but if you have a friend with the knowledge, employ their help and do the install yourself.

The air silencer BS is just that..BS! Invest in a CAI. Again check out Ebay. The shifter and pulleys are outstanding mods!

Gears are the best bang for your buck besides supercharging and nitrous. They don't increase horsepower but they make better use of the power you already have. It is a simple mathematical concept. If your stock gears are 3.27 and you switch to a 3.55 gear your car will accelerate as if it had 7.88% more horsepower: 3.55-7.88%=3.27 So if your car has 260 hp stock then with the 3.55 gear it will feel like you have 280 hp: 260+7.88%=280. Of course your rpm's will also increase by the same percentage.
