our computers dont adjust for detonation... so you will just detonate till something breaks.

Isnt there a knock sensor? The valves are most likely toast maybe the pistons too.

detonation can occur at idle when compression is involved..... and yeah we do not have knock sensors.

Get off the detonation. His symptoms sounded nothing in any way like detonation. And you will only detonate under load. He isn't running extreme compression so that was not creating enough heat to cause detonation. Under load the combustion chamber does not cool as fast and boom detonation.

If the car ran like **** and sounded like it had a stage 4 cam you initial timing was probably off. You may have also had a vac leak. I had the same exact problem with mine. The timing was off by a tooth and it would barely idle because I forgot to hook up a hose.

Yeah, but the primary chain part of the diagramstill applies to our 2vs.

I had a full tank of 93 octane in the car on start up. Im pretty sure my timing was right the first time. The cars sitting till I get money to fix everything. Im gonna tear it apart again over christmas break. This is such a boner killer though haha [8D]
