Default Engine swap

Hey guysI have a 96' GT. I'm looking to do a 99-04' P.I. engine swap into my 96'. I know there are a few differences between them like H/C/I and COP. I can get the engine at a reasonable price but what am I looking at having to change for this swap? I know I can use the coil packs if I please. The motor should drop in and bolt to my T-45. The wiring is where I might screw myself. I know I can just do the head swap but I'm not interested in doing that. I can get the complete engine fully assembled cheaper than I can get the heads, etc. plus I've read where many people on here have ran into problems. Its just not worth it to me. Any help would be appreciated. I believe I have seen where someone on here has done this exact swap.

Default RE: Engine swap

Shouldn't be an issue at all swapping engines. Should be a plug and play deal.I helped do one earlier this year (PI engine into a 97). He kept his coil packs, stock computer, and wiring. I don't think you will need to change out computersunless you're changing to a later model tranny (or automatic). It worked fine in his case. Good luck in whatever you decide.
