4 cats
ok.... I have an off road H pipe and I have a stock h pipe. The off-road h pipe was a bit too loud with slp LM1's and the stock h pipe with the 4 cats is a bit too quite. I put the stock back on to pass inspection butI was wondering if I could cut off 2 of the cats (1 on each side) and still pass inspection assuming this would be a happy medium in volume and sound.....??? I know of someone who did this with flows and it sounded great but would I pass inspection/emissions in PA????

RE: 4 cats
Im in California, and when o had my 99 Gt tested it passes the sniffer with flying colors but the visual... I got failed on. If there computer or what ever says you are supposed to have 4 cats then 2 wont cut it. The funny thing is you have the same set up as me and it is loud as hell but i like it that way . But then again im just dirty like that ...
P.s. Cali is like the hardest state to get passed in so you should be fine on the sniffer.

RE: 4 cats
When I worked at a garage inPA I talked to one of the PA inspectors and he said the car has to have all the cats they came with from the factory in order to pass. I know you guys have it hard up there cause you have to have a full car inspection at a garage. I live in Delaware and all we have to do is drive through a state inspection lane. They don't check under your car in our state they just plug in the OBDII and read from there. My car was too loud but passed anyway cause the guy didn't feel like looking for cats lol.
