Can I run this shifter handle on a stock shifter?

I dont have to have an aftermarket short throw shifter to run this short shifter handle do I?

I know this isn't answering your question, but have you considered getting a whole new shifter, such as the Steeda Tri-Ax or MGW? I think it would make the car a lot more enjoyable to drive, and I'm not sure just the handle would do that. Just a thought.
