Is the gains worth the $1400 install + $600 cams, no. But if you buy a simple tool box and do it yourself using the numerous writeups on the internet then yes.

Damn that's pretty weak. Then again the car was stock and crane isn't the best cam on the market for our cars (so I've been told). +1 on doing the install yourself. I was quoted 450 and 600 for install on cams last fall btw.

That's a pretty mild cam. You'd have to go to at least a stage 2 to even make it close to "worth it".

I'm getting Comp cams installed with a .550 lift on intake and exhaust with a 246 duration @ .050... I'd say that's pretty good for a stage 1 seeing that VT is out of buisness.

yeah thats the thing....i was talking with a friend of mine about his 99GT....he said he wants cams like mine, but tough part is...VT is out of buisiness....so i didnt know what to tell him was comparable. From what I've read MMR stage II cams need notched pistons....comp stage II need notched pistons....

i love em...but whats so special about the way VT ground their cams?! can someone helpme give him a good cam similar to a VT stage II....he was looking at a comp XE 270 i think....anyone have that?
