Who would want a GT anyway? You can get an o4 Mach for about the same price.

He isnt buying it for speed (well not all for speed anyway), he already has a 69 Mach 1 351W. He just wants a sporty car to use as a daily driver that gets better milage than our 89 suburban he uses atm

24,700 "A" plan on a premium GT Convertible (27,707 "A" plan minus
2,500 in rebates and another 500 for using Ford credit (5.5%))
No trade and 15K down and I'll have it paid off in 12 months at 1000. per month.
Listed at $31,375
Bright 5 spoke 17" wheels and the ABS braking/traction control / interior upgrad package were the more interesting extras.... Blk Blk Blk...
I had found two Cobra Mustang Convertibles and considered them at 33K but went with the GT. 33K was a great price for the 04 Cobra

I have 2 Ford dealerships within 5 minutes of my house. I was looking the newspaper and they have an ad for a brand new 2004 Mustang GT for $17,000. I am thinking about trading in my 01' for it since mine is paid off. The only thing is it is silver and I like my zinc yellow but I really want to get rid of my auto and get a 5 spd. I would look around cuz 24 g's is too much if you ask me, I have een 05' GT going for that around here.

i'd say just keep the 01. not really worth trading it in for another one of the same car. unless you want a stick THAT bad. if you wait probably another year like some people in here said, you'll get an even better deal. i wish i would have waited a little while longer before getting my 04. i needed to get a new car now though, the trade-in on my 98 v6 was only going to go down lower.

24,700 isn't THAT bad for an 04 vert. you could probably get it lower. those were about 30k cars when they were in season.
oh, and that 24,700 is probably before your rebates and incentives. so it'll probably come out to closer to 20k.
