Default Brake Debate

What do you guys recommend in terms of brake upgrades for a 2000 GT? I've been searching the threads and besides debates over slotted or drilled rotors i can't find anything about a
definitive answer for brake upgrades. I've got about $400 to spend the whole thing, and I can't figure out my best option. So far i've narrowed it down to possibly a mach 1 brake set (calipers rotors and lines) on the front wheels, or drilled brembo rotors on both the front and back. Any advice you guys have would be much appreciated; i've been pulling my hair out for weeks over this.

if you want the looks of cross/slotted rotors then get em, they do little other than make you think they work better. Save the money, goto buyfordracing and buy the mach1 brake kit, the calipers, rotors, lines, and pads are the same as cobra ones but they are grey so its 40-50 less...

hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to pm or ask here.

that actually helps a lot, thank you. appearance is last on my list of concerns compared to stopping power. The kit looks great, should i be scared at all that it's been discontinued and is only carried at one site?

why be worried? they are just unpainted cobra brake parts. The blanks will provide plenty stopping power on the streets, they arent all too great on the open track tho, which is why I'm stepping up to the 6 pot wilwoods soon.
