A buddy of mine just got some Imco glasspacks welded in and they are seriously loud. When he goes WOT they scream. If you want just pure loudness I'd get some glasspacks. I like more of a refined sound though so ill keep my flows with my x-pipe.

If your talking about removing the cats and welding in striaghtpipes its going to be loud... like disgustingly, farm truck, annoyingly loud.

IMO you should never delete your mufflers. These 4.6 sound amazing with a full exhaust system, there is no need to make your mustang sound like a clapped out chevy truck. You shouldn't just be trying to make your car the loudest, you should be focusing more on tone.

Like 2000GT said you're not going to like the sound a non catted midpipe and no mufflers. It will be atrocious sounding.[:'(]

Heres what is sounds like:

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/f...3010b625d.htm\

Sounds fairly amazing on a cammed car with plenty of power behind it... not so much with a bolton only car but still sounds wild....

But its WAY to loud for anything you want to drive around. I just did this for the video, we had to go way out of town and were still worried we were gonna be pulled over for doing it. It was so loud we could barely hear each other with raised voices in the car.

hmm yea ive heard many good things about glasspacks.

if the sound is going to be really digusting i wont do it.

the reason i came to this, because when itook of my mufflers my car was pretty loud. Ttheni put on the IAC restrictor and it made my cars exhaust tone a lot louder. From idle and above my car sounded good, including WOT. Many compliments were recieved as well. BUT!! i took off the IAC becuase it was the stupidest thing ever, all it did was turn my car off. So im looking into a more deep rumble sound, but to be very loud when i open up.

Also i hear that a car with no res no cats as in striaght pipes pretty much all the way will gain more rwhp rwtq then a car with a full exhaust system. NOT SAID BY ME..but its what i heard, but then i hear others saying thats not true and having no mufflers makes you lose backpress, and loss of hp. FEED ME information please

I had a summit off road X pipe with cut in cherry bomb glass packs when i first got my car. Sounded pretty damn nasty IMO. No where near as good as the exhaust i have now. But you get what you pay for

You didn't take off your IAC....

You should just do everything right and get an o/r mid-pipe and a set of Magnaflow Magnapacks.
