Default Three Cams -- Pick One -- and Why?

OK. Wintertime. I'm going to install cams. Tell me which you would use and why.

The Car: Gramdma stock looking weekend driver, 2000GT, 2V, Alum. Cobra block, Cobra crank, Probe forged 17cc dish pistons, forged Eagle H-rods, Procharger P1SC (12lbs), Bullitt intake/twin 57mm throttle body, SCT 90mm MAF, Cobra tank/dual fuel pump, 62lb injectors, MSD Stacker ignition, 3.73 rear, 26 inch Mickey Thompsons ET Street. (Has all necessary suspension and drive train mods).Ported/polished, butSTOCK PI heads with stock cams. I'll replace springs and put in larger valves (like Patriot). The dyno showed peak rwhp at about 5900 rpm. Last run was a 12.09 / 115mph with a 1.7 60ft.

Which One?

Comp Cam:XE262AH (226/230 @.050") XE270AH (234/238), XE278AH (242/246)
all are .550 / .550 113 C/L

Why?

Xe278AH, b/c you won't lose alot of torque down low and you gain about 75 hp(flywheel)at 6,300 rpm (information out of the book called bulding 4.6/5.4L ford horsepower on the dyno)

You have a supercharger it says right? Get stage 2 blower cams. If you get an N/A cam you will loose boost even though there are people with N/A cams running FI on here. The Comp XE262AH (226/230 @.050")cam is the one going in my car on an N/A setup.

I called Comp cams and they said the 270AH and 278AH would work with my blower. Does Comp Cams have "blower cams" specifically? Do you see the 262AH, 270AH, 278AH as Stage I , II, and III?

The comp cams are supposed to be fairly blower friendly. But I wouldn't get any of those. MPH is supposed to have some killer custom grinds. Id call them, they don't cost anymore than other cams. You'll need flycut pistons with the comp 278s btw...

I say custom grind blower cams FTW here...

Already responded in PM, but +1, custom grinds FTW.

NO non blower specific cam is going to work well. They are fine on a stock shortblock/mild boost car, but once you up the boost like you have and have a built motor there is too much boost leak thru the overlap.

man, after looking at the spec again I have to say the comp cams are STRANGE. All of them have a higher LSA than the blower spec VT stuff... which is very strange. You want more LSA with a n/a cam than what they are grinding.. at least that is what traditional thinking says.

Still, you would not want to specifically run one of these cams in a blower car. They still have too much intake vs exhaust duration for a blower setup... generally you want less intake duration than exhaust by a signficant portion on a blower cam, because the blower will fill the cyl much more quickly than a n/a car can, but still needs help on the exhaust (more so since the overlap via LSA is less).
