i have a 2001 bullitt. i wanted to know if any other people with a 99-04 have this problem. when i turn sharp at a great rate of speed and when i floor it around town and turn alot it makes a whining noise. sounds like something with the power steering. if i turn the car off and turn it back on it will still make the noise for a while good 10 min before it will go away.

I get the same power steering pump whine in my '04, but I haven't asked my dealer about it yet. My '04is still under 3/36 warranty so I will definately ask this before it expires.

My car makes a moaning when I turn but only at low speeds like when I am pulling into a parking spot in a parking lot.

probably your ps pump. might be going out, i'de get it checked.

Mine does too.. but thats very very slow speeds. Not at high speeds like he's saying...


Have you checked your power steering fluid lately?
Could be your pump.

Mine used to make a whining sound when I turned but it quit after about 6 weeks.
Never had a problem since..haha
