Default question on destinction

Ok, I have the PI intake... what I dont know is do I have the heads to match? I want new cam and lifters but i dont know what i have in there. when it comes to that does it matter if its the stock 97 heads or not?

you are going to need a full PI swap.... use the search icon and type in PI swap, and you should get all the information you need. If not, write another post.[sm=usa.gif]

Non pi heads have to oil cap and filler on the driver side valve cover... The PI heads have the cap and filler on the passenger side..

That isn't always true especialy in a used car. If a PI swap was done depending on what year PI heads were used the old valve covers could have been used. The easiest way to tell is to take off the intake. Round intake runners= NON PI, square= PI.

To the OP. How do you know for sure that the intake you have is PI?

the way the intake runners? start. the PI starts with the first one on the right closest to the front, whereas the non pi starts with the first one in the front on the left

Good you seem to know more then most newbs.... Oh wait I take that back, these motors don't have lifters.

Yeah i dont know much about my car. cars in general. besides basics im learning bit by bit so its whatever.
