Its a pretty much stock 00' GT and I'm trying to hook up the fan so when the ignition is turned on the fan starts up. Dont ask me why im doing it cause its a friend's car, but how would I hook it up? I know how to do it to a switch, but he's afraid if someone drives it they will forget and over-heat the motor.

i dont know how to do that mine is hooked up to a switch but also the high speed fan kicks in at 185 i set it with a tune i have a 180 thermostat

oh. I personally love when my fan comes on automatically but its for my friend so I figured I'd do it.

You can't safely turn it on useing just the ignition. If you put it on a switch the right way the computer will still turn the fan on low and high speeds on its own. The switch is to just put it on high speed when you want.

oh, its starting to sound a little bit more complicated than I thought. the only one I had somewhat done that to was a 90 LX. the new computer run motors are a newer thing to me.

Yeah the old fox body ones I always just ran to an ignition source but these new ones you can't.
