well my mustang has been acting up recently and today wen i accelerating first gear after reaching4k my car feltl like it ran out of hp and felt like it stalled so shifted into second.i test it again from second to third and when i hit 4 k same thing feelsli ke a loss of power. what could this possibly mean has this happened to anyone?thanks for the help

Sounds like your fuel pump is on its way out. Stay out of the upper rpms till you get a new one. $100 fuel pump is much better than a $1500 shortblock.

yea that makes sense.if im goingto have to buy a newone should i just buy the svt focus fuel pump . is that the one guys on the forum have been using right. thanks for the info.

You don't need it just get a stock replacement.

ive been geting horible mpg the last couple days that could be the cause of the bad fuel pump right.

I just read your other post in the fuel presure thread. You might have a bad injector that is stuck open. It would cause the same symptoms. Check for codes.
