Default not normal for 2001

ok my girl has an 01 gt. the rear is bad i though it was the gears but its the spider gears. i thought there was supposed to be an abs ring in the rear on the center section, also the gears are pitched on the outer part (not the teeth). if anyone has a phone i can send a pic. the tag said it was 3:27's but they dont look like it. im rebuildin the whole thing anyways with 3:90's but the ring gear is much thicker on the new set. is that due to a smaller pinion? i think i just answer my own ? as i was typing but any other ideas? thanks

The exta thickness is to make up for the smaller pinion.
