Quality Cost Efficient Clutch
Well, this is the deal. I have a throwout bearing that needs replacing so I figured while they are in there I'm gonna get a new clutch put in. What do you guys reccomend for a quality cost efficient clutch. I don't beat on my car or street race it, or do burnouts so i don't need any racing clutch, just a quality everyday type clutch. Let me know what you think.
Thanks

RE: Quality Cost Efficient Clutch
Spec clutches are priced well and seem to be great quality. I dont have one on my mustang but always used SPEC clutches when i was in the 3000gt scene. Those clutches are a godsend to that community and from my experience it was a BADASS clutch. handled the 430 ft/lbs of tq my TT v6 put out at 3.7k rpms no problem and the SPEC I for that car was rated at around 395 ft/lbs

RE: Quality Cost Efficient Clutch
now on the other hand I have heard all kinds of negative things about spec clutches... lasting 10,000 miles or less, chattering like hell even at stage 2 and even if you have your flywheel resurfaced... i spent a lot of time researching the fact, you would be best served if you dont' plan on doing any high hp numbers to either get a stock replacement clutch, a cobra clutch kit, a king cobra kit/flywheel, or a centerforce, i opted for a centerforce cause i'm doing a 100 shot in the spring, i haven't got it installed yet, but that's the only clutch i heard no negative reviews at all about.
