cutch install with bbk long tubes

RE: cutch install with bbk long tubes
I dont know what headers you have, but with my mac's, I had 2 tranny shops take a look at it and no one would touch it. Here at school when i had a lift I tried everything. even like 5 feet of extentions through the bumper with universals. There is a tube one inch from the bolt directly in front of it. I ended up pulling the motor out through the top with the trans connected. And i did a PI swap while i rebuilt the trans...
I was never pleased with the fit and finish for my headers. They never fit right. The left side collector always rubbed the body. I ended up having to do some modifying to the underside so it would stop tapping the body.
I remember having some sort of trouble with the power steering bolts when i first tried it. Then i had some trick to getting them out but i forget what it was....lol haven't done that job for almost a year.

Have fun my friend. I had the same problem when I blew my stock clutch with LT headers.
The passenger header needs to be loosened up just a hair to get in there. so either have a nifty way of un-torquing those bolts or drop the crossmember.
btw, the dealership was 2 seconds away from doing all this work UNDER WARRANTY even with my LTs in the way untill the supervisor said he found a timeslip in the glove box... I have yet to find that timeslip he says he found.
