Default exhaust tip question

I'm looking for some bigger exhaust tips and noticed my stock exhaust tips measure 4inch... Yet I see people saying they're getting bigger exhaust tips and going to 4inches...

I was wondering what kind of exhaut tip would look best on a 2000 GT

You're stock tips are not 4 inches. Personally, I think 4" or more is fugly! Get some 3.5"!

I measured them from top to bottom, read 4inches... Am I measuring wrong?

The stockers are 2.5" I believe...

but they're slightly slash cut if I recall correctly.
SO if you are measuing them from top to bottom, then you're going at a SLIGHT diagonale *spelling*

but it wouldnt be nearly enough to send a 2.5" reading to a 4".

You either
A. Can't measure.
or
B. Don't have stock tips.

I vote B

Yeah I belive they are 2.5 inches stock Try. summitracing.com they do carry a good number of diffrent sizes. 3.5 is a perfect size.

I measured my tips and from left to right they are right at 3". if you measure the diagonal (slash cut or whatever) top to bottom, exactly 3.5 inches. I am assuming my tips are stock. they look like the tips I see on other GT's. Mine is a 2000 GT. IF anyone here has stock tips, please go measure them. I'm curious if mine are stock or not. 2.5 inches seems awfully small for the stock tips.
