Need an opinion on 98 mustang
 

Hi guysI am new on this site. I need an opinion on a 98 mustanga guy is selling it for 3,900 ,it has107k miles on it. I just looked at it and it looks andsounds great. the only problem is the driver side seat is a little off track. when you close the window it sticks out a littleyou have to lower the window to close right., the other issueis thatthe front bumper is fading, andthe right rear side hasa little dent by the gas tank cover.The partthat ismaking me worry is that he has an open tittle. he bought the car but the tittle is not under his name it's under the person that sold him the car. I also woulkd like to know if i need to be worried about purchasing this vehicle. I have never hear of an open title.

That's too much money. I'd offer nothing above $3,000.

Really evey mustang I see online from 94 to 98 goes for 4grand or more? here the link.

The "open title" means the guy took the car without ever transferring/registering the title so he never drove it on the road, and as it still has damage he obviously never repaired it to sell it. I think its a lemon. i would steer clear, but thats just me. the last thing you want to do is buy it for 3.9k and spend a bunch fixing stuff up right away...

I agree with you lewistk. I told him I am not interested. Can I ask you how much should I pay for a good mustang from the 94 to 98?

When was the last year of the 5.0 and is that motor much better than the 4.6? What is the diffence in power?

well 87- 92 5.0's came with 225hp and 93 gt's came with 205 cuz the coba came out and it was pushing 250 or so.. 95 was the last year of the 5.0 and it had 215hp, 5.0 are good and love to get mods ..not to sure what 96-98 come wit i think 215 or 240 dont no off hand 99-04 is 260... my 02, 2v 4.6 holds her own with full bolt ons matters what ever body u like ...

depending on the mileage you could get a pretty good 96 or 97 for 4 or 5 thousand at the very most. in the 4's and in good running condition would be a good deal. i think the 5.0's dont look as good as the 94-98 gt but thats just me, and they are much more receptive to mods.
