Stupid question....
I was thinking why doesnt someone make an electric supercharger. Or even use a leafblower as a supercharger... I wonder if anyone has ever tried that? If I had a beater I would give it a shot and see how it ran.

RE: Stupid question....
electric superchargers dont work well i hear. they do make them, on ebay for $175 or some crap. i believe they only show real small HP gains, and hardly notticeable boost. but they do drain the battery well, and wear out your belt faster. i wouldnt waste any money or space on one, id just put the money to better use. a leaf blower, now thats crazy.

RE: Stupid question....
I remember seeing a picture and those stupid quotes at the back of a 5.0 magazine issue. They hooked a leafblower to the intake manifold. Those leafblowers can produce alot of wind. I can imagine it working, just get a bigger alternator. and have the power for the leafblower hooked up to it so it can get AC voltage. The loss from the alternator would probably be as much as the loss a centrifical puts on a engine. But I figured that the electric blower would produce maximum boost from the moment its turned on. If someone would produce an efficient one, it would be alot cheaper. Just a thought

RE: Stupid question....
I tried hooking my dads old leaf blower up to my 88 Town Cars lo-po 5.0. From what I can recall it didn't make much difference on the speed density system, but I don't recall if I had the gas blower on full throttle, I think I set the the idle rpm at low to medium. If I still had the town car I'd hook it up again and try it again on full throttle instead, haha. Just thought I'd let you know that I DID actually do that.
