LCA and Polly Bushings (only the smart stangers please)
So I used to make Polly bushings all the time for my other cars and my friends cars. If I take off the stock LCA and replace the rubber crap with Polly will that help the wheel hop as well as the aftermarket ones?
Also if the problem with stock LCA;s are that the metal flexes and not the bushings, couldn't I reinforce the LCA with a brace and a few well place beads with the Tig?

No matter what you do to the stamped steel LCAs they will never be as sturdy as a boxed or tubed LCA. Changing to poly bushings will help some but not enough.

^^ prettty much what I was gonna say. Your gonna wanna get a nice set of heavy duty lca's with polly bushings to really get rid of alot of the wheelhop you experience.

If the tires don't spin it won't hop........get stickier tires. Only then will poly bushings or stronger LCA's be helpful. I found very little difference in my 60' when changing to aftermarket LCA's.[8D]

if you are going to do that you may want to find a way to incorprate a grease fitting in the tube where the poly bushings will mount because the urethane gonna squeak like a B!TCH.
