Typical of the TKO. Lots of people have the same problem. Most likely, there's nothing mechanically wrong with it. Search around on the forums, there's a few threads about this.

I've heard they don't like to be shifted hard at high RPM's.

My younger cousin says his 600 does it only under boost andwhile going into 4th. Most likely the high RPMs like ZW99GT was sayin.

From what I have seen/heard, its mostly the early modle 500 and 600s. My 500 has never ground going into any gear.

Call up tremec or d and d performnace and see what they say, there may be a fix.

mine grinds when i first try to put it in reverse. after it grinds, it'll go in and out no problem. until i move forward again, stop, then try to go in reverse again. hella annoying. my boy at the shop said it'll be fine though, so i guess we'll see. who needs reverse anyway?

I had an early model 500, the problem was the shift lugs but they totaly LOCKED you out of 3rd gear at WOT. Not sure about Ryan's situation

Is it a grind or are you just hearing the gears clash. damn near all tranys will clash or what you call a grind going into a gear hard and fast. This is due to poor trans fluid. Try going to a royal purple or redline gear oil.
