How do you change the transmission fluid

Hey i have a 1997 mustang gt and i need to change the transmission fluid i was wondering how do you do that and what type of fluid should i put in there?

You will either have to take the shifter off and fill from there or the fill plug under the car on the pass. side of the tranny.
