Default High miles and HP

I have a 2000 Gt with 100k miles on it. I dont have any mods in the car it is bone stock and I was wondering if b/c of the high miles my car could have lost some hp over the years. The engineruns fine and it has had no major mechanical problems itjust dontseam to be as strong asit ustobe.

I am still in school so I really dont have any money to put into it, but whenI get out of school soon I am thinking about selling it and trying to get something with less miles. Or is 100k miles not that bad and shouldI just try to put some money into it?
Thanks,

shock00 im in your exact shoes but my car has somebolt-on's. I've asked a bunch of mustang mechanics, and with time the engine will get old and not output as much HP as it did when it was young. BUT, i have had the problem of adding a bolt-on (ex. intake, exhaust, h-pipe)feeeling the increase of the bolt on, and then with time getting useTHAT HP and TORQUE. Now the only reasonthis might be a problem is because it then feels like you have lost power in the vehicle, when really its just in your head. I hope im making sense.

I've never heard of a car loosing horsepower because it has high mileage, especially to make a noticable difference, if you are expereincing power loss its not because of high mileage its because something is wrong with the car.

i drove a 20,000 mile GT and then a 118,000 mile GT and they felt the same. the 118k one might have been a little bit slower but nothing you'd be able to really notice

100K miles is not a lot for these motors. Its barely broken in unless you have thrashed it bad.

I have heard of cars over the years not running as nice as they were when new because things like timing get thrown off a bit, etc. But most likely you are just use to you car so to you it doesnt seem as fast as it did. Take me for example, when i put my cat back exhaust, and x pipe on my 99 Gt it was fast as heck to me and after a while it was just normal, still fast but normal. Then my cousin with a stock 2000 gt rode in it and he thought my car was amazing.
