the sidewall number is expressed relative to the imprint width. so you can have a 245/45/17, and a 275/35/17 (i think those numbers are right... but anyways...) the end result being the same diameter tire

275/35-18 is probably too small...

I had 295/35-18 with my saleens and it was 3% slow, that was the best match I could find at that size.
