What's up with my heads?

I went up to talk to my tuner today. He asked me the specs of my car and I told him what the shop who built the motor told me, which is what is in my sig. The shop that built my motor told me that they put lightning heads on the car and that they are the same as a GT head. My tuner told me that they are different on the intake side and are ment for a supercharger so the port shape is different. He said I will lose power because of this. Is this true?

Wow you need to find a different tuner. They are the exact same heads.

I'm not expert or anything but I do know my ****. Mostly thanks to you guys on here. I went into my tuner (which is one of the shops in the vendor and sponsor section) and I have delt with these guys before, I used to work in the tire shop they own. Anyway I go in there to see how much a dyno tune would cost and what not. The guy asked me what I have done and hes breaking my balls. Hes asking how much was taken off the deck, off the heads, what spark plugs I am using, what where the cam specs, exact compression ratio and he asked how the shop knows exactly, etc. It made me feel like they were trying to intimidate me. They told me 300 and they will dyno tune it for me up to 2 hours. The other dude said that it was a deal.

Well, the tuner needs to know what has been done to the motor and its specs so they can tune it properly. Those questions aren't totally out of line.

Most shops I know will charge $300 for the tune. If it takes more than 2 hours and the tune isn't spot on what are they gonna do just give you what that got done in that time? Kinda F ed up if you ask me.

idk like I said I know the one guy and he told the other guy 300 for everything, they said it will prolly take 2 hours. Mark99GT it wasn't the questions he was asking that bothered me it was the way they asked and how he acted.

If the guy gives you attitude then don't give him your money. Trust your instincts when dealing with people. He can't be the only game in town.

Yeah but they do a good job. They are the most recommended. I will look around though. Another place I wanted to go sold their dyno a month ago. If they give me attitude when I bring my car there and treat me like a kid again they won't get my buisness.
