Default Front wheel Hub and Bearing assembly replacement HELP!!!

What size socket do I need for the retaining nut? Also there's a piece on there with hole's in it and I can't tell if come's off and the nut is underneath it or if it's the actual nut itself? If that piece has to come off how do you remove it?

Thank's Brian

Thanks I actually just got done doing it about half hour ago It's 1 3/8 socket. I did both them but only the passenger side was busted. I also swithched the rotor's out and put in some brembo cross drilled with some hawk brake pad's. Damn thing ride's smooth as glass now. YES I can actually drive my car again!!!!
