No i think you should be fine with the new gaskets. just remember to drain the cooling system and relieve the fuel pressure obviously

Do you have the tools to disconnect your fuel rails?

disconnecting the fuel rail is unnecessary on our cars. all i did when i changed my manifold (cracked) was pop the fuel rails off and it leaked a little fuel, then just bend the fuel lines/rails over to the side out of the way.

drain all the antifreeze, disconnect ur negative terminal, and do not forget to put the drainplug back and refill it with coolant when ur done.

It was a lot easier to disconnect the lines on my car. Are PI and NPI different?

NOPE. Just one inlet vs. two inlets(inlet and outlet) I changed my manifold out without disconnecting them as well.

Also I would disconnect the positive terminal as well because your alt. power wire may short out when hit on a grounding surface!

i believe so. i think you have a returnless and we have a return fuel system or some crap like that i dont know exactly. but literally all i did was pull the fuel rails off the injectors and move them off to the side and they posed no hinderance. its just extra work on our cars to disconnect them completely.

It's the other way around. The NPI's have return style fuel systems. You don't have to disconnect the fuel lines. It's just easier. I remember doing it now. I pulled the intake off with everything on it and switched everything on a bench. It's easier.
