Default o So Popular Gear Question.

is anyone running 3.90's? i cant decide between 3.90's or 4.10's. im wanting that hole shot and not too worried about hiway driving and gas mileage, but i figured if 3.90's will still give me that hard hole shot and run good on the hiway, why not go that route. so anyones input would be great, especially if your running 3.90's. thanx in advance

Go with 4.10's in the 03. 3.90's maybe if you had the older model transmission.

The RPM difference between 3.90 and 4.10 is so minimal that it won't matter.

im getting 390's put in tomorrow actually () ill let u know how i like em. im going F/I somewhere around summer next year so i didnt want to get too tall of a gear.

RPM difference will be very small, all depends on your future plans with the car.

As you said you aren't worried about gas mileage, so go 4.10's. That's an easy one.

I had 4.10's on my v6 and i wasnt a big fan of them, you run way to high rpm on the highway, I just feel like it is putting a lot of unnescecary wear on the motor. But don't be as stupid as me and decide in to only get 3.55's, I needed a new ring and pinion quickly and i found a set of 3.55 for cheap, big mistake[:@] 3.73 if i could do it again.
