there's a local guy with a 150 dry shot on his stock GT engine. He hasn't sprayed it much at the 150 but he usually sprays 100 or 125 and said he's had no problems yet. He ran a 7.8 with 150 shot and a 8.2 with 100 shot in the 1/8th

Usually when you get up into the higher numbers, you run stages of nitrous... IE a 100 shot, then an additional 100 shot later down the track. Better for traction and easier on the drivetrain, but expensive.
I would say forged is a must for a 200 shot...

I bumped mine to a 175 shot and shattered a connecting rod. On a stock motor, I wouldn't go over a 125 shot.
Even though you said dont go over 125 on a stock engine, could I run 75-100 tops safely and consistantly without worry?

A good tune for high shots is of the upmost importance. Remeber you have to run 1 degree colder of plugs for every 50 shot. The colder you go on the plugs, the more surge you might have at part throttle durring normal driving. So the higher you go your going to run into driveability problems assuming your going to be driving this on a regular basis. for a 150+ shot your gonna need at least 3 degree colder plugs, a dual tune (flip chip) would be very very good, your gonna want an ingnition system that can handle the N20, and anything higher than a 150 would definatly need some forged engine internals. If its a wet kit you could prolly get by with the stock fuel system but if you wanna be safe then I would slightly upgrade the injectors and fuel pump. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator wouldnt be a bad idea either. N20 is fun and the safest form of FI if its setup correctly. But setting it up correctly is the trick that a lot of people have a hard time performing. A 150+ shot is a hefty ammount of N20 so keep in mind, you gotta get that power to the ground!

i've never heard of anyone running a 200 shot on 93 octane. 150 max. Code3GT, i'm willing to bet you lost a rod primarily because of a fuel problem. did you ever find out exactly what caused it?

Not sure yet, haven't pulled the old motor yet.
