Yea, no joke! The man that owns the local ford dealership around here has one. As soon as it came in he sent it to some big shot place to have a 40,000 dollar upgrade package of some sort put on it. They cut the top off and made it into a hardtop converable. They also changed the pulleys, tune and custom built some headers for it. Noone makes headers for the ford gt. The guys called ford and asked why. They said you can't run headers on it because the exhaust is so short the converters are too close. The extra heat will make the material in the converters start coming apart. Well, they built them anyway and that exact thing happened. The material in the converters started coming apart and got sucked up into the egr system. It ruined the blower, motor and all. The car owner made the company come all the way down here, which was a long long way, to put a new motor in it. The car owner paid for half the motor and it was over 30,000 is all he would tell me.
