Default Transmissions broke... again

SOooo.. I was drivin up the road today.. On Christmas by the way.. and in 5th gear it acted like it jumped out of gear. I went to put it back up in 5th and it was still in 5th.. There was lots of clunk ah dee clunk in going on in there.

I pushed it off the road, in 5th gear, with the clutch out..

It won't pull and it won't come out of 5th... any ideas??

Where is the cheapest place to buy a TKO500.. I just bought a 10 spline clutch so I have to stay 10 spline..

I'm not investing anymore money in these junky 3650's..

Is there another transmission other than a TKO 500 that you guys think is better for the money? Like a built T45 or somethin?

hmm... thanks..

Last time I took it out I worked with it forever trying to clear the headers and had to drop the rear of the K member to get it back in...

To those of you who have dropped K members all the way.. any tips? such as stuff like

A/C lines?
Electrical stuff?
How to support engine and K member?

Dropping the K-member is a lot of fun. I did it to install my LT's. You don't have to worry about A/C or electrical lines. Use a floor jack and a 2x6 to support the engine. Have fun getting the coil springs back in. That was a real pain.

Just ratchet strap the coil springs, take the steering shaft loose and remove the k-member bolts. It'll drop down low enough to do the job then.
