someone who's more in touch could tell you about those plastic intake recalls or whatever.. i think they were for 97's - 01's, but don't quote me on that. all i know is my car's fine..

You won`t get the intake replaced under warranty. We are out of the time "window" now. I`ve had mine for a year now & have had no problems. Things that suck (at least to me) are 1. When/if you change the spark plugs, don`t even think of doing it without a torque wrench. There are only around six threads holding the plug in the heads. If you tighten them too tight, the threads come out with the plug. If you don`t tighten them enough, they work their way loose & then blow out of the head, taking the threads with them. The proper tourque is 13-15ftlbs. 2. Another thing I don`t like is the lack of a normal power brake booster. The system on our cars is tied in with the power steering system. I would get a Factory service manual from a place like Helms. All inall though, they are a fun car

the intake cracking in the 99 and 00, spark plugs blowing out, tranny, TO bearing that is all i can think of off the top of my head. if you supercharge it, you can have a whole other set of problems.

also the parking brake has a recall. something about the adjuster not adjusting properly and the seat belts dont like to retract at times. when they are running well though they are a really fun car to drive.

Was it the 00's that had all the problems with blowing spark plugs out?
