+1 unless your cruising at or above 3500 rpm, that converter is never completely engaged. Its kinda like driving adound with the clutch half way in all the time.

N/A engine built up like that can be devastating on the wallet ,if the MPG's really bothering you could always go HONDA! At least your faster then a hummer!
