Default 9mpg WOW

ok so i just got a new race built 4r70w trans with a 3500 stall. and i fill up my tank with 14 gallons and guess wat i only get 126 miles that less the 9mpg WOW i cant afford this...wat is going on...can it be cuz my stall is too high or is there something else going on ??? any help thanks ahead of time

You have a n/a built motor with stage 2 heads/cams and 4.10s, along with what sounds like a lead foot.

I have gotten MPG like this on my setup, but only when romping it on hard and all city driving.

Too big of a stall for street drivin. 2800 is more then enough because our 4R70Ws stall at 1300 max so bumpin it to 2800 is enough

Yes I almost always enjoy single digit gas mileage around town. +5 It's called a lead foot.

With a 3500 rpm stall that thing's probably never locking up on the street.

I agree... I've had 400hp NA carb engines with a stall and I got 15mpg average.
