Default Speedometer Funk

So I finally got my stang on the road but the speedometer marks more mph than I am really going? Anyone know how to get it fixed and how much it will run me?

there could be a couple of things affecting it,but if we don't know what you just did to your car, we can't help you. did you change gears? or the gauge cluster for example?

I I have just done the basic tune-up. Changed the spark-plugs and wire set, cleaned the motor, oil change and all filters. Nothing fancy. The car sat on a driveway for 3 years without being moved. The gauge is the original.
