Default another diff. 5.4 question

Alright guys I have been reading searched material on 5.4 swap for 2 hours, I have not come up with any definite material. So I have a 97 gt that I bought w/bad motor and can get a 5.4 out of 01'navigator. Questions are what acc. to use what intake to use . Also what flywheel and trans. will work I have a good t-45. the deal on the 5.4 is extremely hard to pass up! What hp numbers do the nav. 5.4 have? thanx for any info, I am ready to get a mototr in this thing.

i would personally use the reichard racing adapters and a ported aviator intake, thats gonna be the cheapest intake you can find and makes pretty decent power. if you get the heads ported and a nice set of cams you will definitely surpass 400 rwhp.

You guys do know that the navi motor is a 4v right? You can use the intake for the navi and be just fine or use one made by sullivans performance or MMR. You can use all of the front acc. on your engine on that one. You wil need the wiring harness and I would suggest the computer to make life easier. You will have to use the stock navi exhaust manifolds and have the midpipe fabbed up. But I think MAC is working on a set of longtubes for this swap. Since you have a 97 you will see about a 100hp gain and 100ft lbs tq gain. But you will be adding alot of weight to the car so I would suggest a tubed Kmember for weight reduction and ease of install.

have you seen a navi intake, you would need at least a 6 in. cowl to run that. i know its a 4v thats why i said use the aviator intake its very similair to a fr500 piece, and you can keep your stock ecu and wiring harness you just have to delete the actuators for the secondarys in the intake and have to extend the wiring and get the tune for a 5.4

+1 on the aviator intake. I would get some shorty headers though instead of the stockers. That motor moves a lot of air and it wouldnt hurt to get some proper sized tubes on it.
