Default serpentine belt

In a jam, I'm replacing the belt and I don't have a diagram. The diagram in my Haynes manual does not match. every picture Ive seen does not match. I have an extra pulley

is the routing different for a 98gt... mine does not rout like that. the tensioner is different too.. granted i have a s/c between 8 and 1. but that is not right for my 98gt... check ur info? or am i wrong.. i dunno.

I figured it out. Mine looks like the one in the top picture the one with the more detailed drawing. My Haynes manual showed the lower drawing.

Whamo, The belt is a little different on non-pi GTs, but I saw the pick in his sig and posted the picture for his car....not every 4.6

non-pi cars have a different timing cover and tensioner than a pi car.. actually the 99 gt's had the same timing cover as the non pi's i believe as well.. i think the change was made in 2000.

Performance Improved... Its how Ford got 260 SAE outta the 4.6 for the New Edges. Different head and intake design.

NPI is Non-Performance Improved...96-98 GTs
