Question before have my exhaust welded up
I just put on a Magnapack cat back exhaust... I would like to have it welded up because one of the tips just won't really stay put. It only moves like 1/8" from where I want it & you can't really see it unless you look really hard. I am kinda OCD about stuff like that though.
I was wondering though if it would be helpful at all to leave it in a form you can kinda disassemble/loosen with the suspension mods I am planning. I am getting a MM panhard bar & drag adjustable lowers, subframe connectors, shocks/struts & H&R race springs.
Anyway I can wait until I am done with the suspension if it would help... just wondering. I don't know how I would have ever picked out stuff for this car without this website! Thanks guys.

RE: Question before have my exhaust welded up
it came with clamps... thats whats holding it together right now. it uses the factory hangers. the tips just seem like they are way too big to actually clamp onto the 2.5" pipe. the rest is actually pretty solid with just the clamps.

RE: Question before have my exhaust welded up
I would definitely have your tips welded on by an exhaust shop, that way they can get it perfectly the way you want it and they wont budge. Leave the rest clamped together, because you might want/need to remove it later.

RE: Question before have my exhaust welded up
yea i was going to take it and have the tips welded, but if i have to move the over the axle pipe with any of the suspension mods it may throw the whole geometry off then my tips will be crooked & welded in that position.

Just get some spot welds, then when it comes time to readjust you can just grind the weld spots off, re-adjust and then weld again.
Edit: I meant spot weld the tips only, and everything else clamped
