RE: replacing clutch
i would rather take that 300 your paying for install and put it towards my intake when i get that ported. i also did longtubes on my gt.
i guess i just like looking at my car and saying "i did that" and knowing it isnt going to fall apart. bc anyone can pay to make their car fast and reliable but not everyone can do it them self.

RE: replacing clutch
I just posted somewhat of a how-to in the SVT section. TITLE was "clutch went out today"! Your gonna have to remove atleast on of the headers and probably loosen the other one up! A clutch is a lot of work. The centerforce dual friction doesn't come with the Throw-out bearing that is a MUST for those clutches. They are self aligning. Also, they don't come with the alignment tool for the friction plate. It's the tool you stick in the pilot bushing so the pressure plate is perfectly aligned when you tighten your clutch down. If you don't use it your input shaft won't slide into the pilot bushing because it will be mis-aligned..hence the name!

Also, the only reason I WOULD NOT do a clutch myself is that the OEM TO bearing (and most aftermarket ones) are known to have problems after a short amount of time meaning you'll be back under there in a few months replacing it...if a shop does it they will, under warranty, replace it..as many times as it takes provided you are under warranty.
