i have a 99 GT with full bolt ons and 410 gears...
im doing around
1st around 30mph around 5500
2nd around 50mph around 5500
3rd around 70 mph around 5500
4th around 100mph around 5500
this bring up a question... if im racing on the highway and i go over 100mph and i have to go into fifth gear... will it start pulling less hard because its 5th gear, or will it pull equally as hard ... the reason i ask is because 5th gear is overdrive but i top out at 100 in 4th so i hope to hell that my 5th gear will keep me going and not slow me down... what do u think

Well, im guessing you should beable to get more than 100 out of 4.10's. Im running a 3.73 and i keep climbing. I hit 150 on my speedo. but if you shift to 5th like you said its overdrive. So its gonna take some time to keep pushing past 100... I would just be happy with 100 MPH anyways. think of what would happen at 100 if you chrashed or got pulled over. Who cares about high speeds...

One time i flew by my friend who was far ahead of me and i pinned it a little below redline in 3rd at 110. I was surprised at how much i squeezed out of it. With my stock 2.73s they are pretty long, i pushed it hard in second before i pushed 3rd to redline. It seems the harder i go in early gears, the higher i can go in 3rd. Ive redlined at 100 in 3rd before, but 110 that time. It doesnt seem to make sense.

my redline for 3rd is around 95 - 100.
4th gear pulls hard till redline which is 135. Then going into 5th, it pulls slooow, barely going any higher. ive seen 142 on my speedo before. ran outta room on straight, was coming into some turns so had to let off.
you dont need a really high top speed on these cars as 135+ you can feel the rear end wanting to come up. id suggest lowering ur car, and maybe another wing or something if u plan on doing it all the time
