Best way to launch
1st time at the track with the car. My best run was my first run, 14.4. I know i can pull a 14.1. I had a couple of 2.0 60s which is awsome on street tires for the car, but lost it all down track. Mildly modded 4.6 99-td stangs were running 14.1s that nite. The temp went south fast and screwed the track up royally. By my 4th run pulling third step the car out. 60fts weren't bad, 2.1's the 4th and 5th runs I did but lost it all down track with dropped temps.

A stock 03 GT coupe is capable of running 13.9 with a little help. less than 1/4 tank of gas, no spare, no FGS, less tire pressure, and a killer 60 ft time.

This doesn't happen often but you can do it with your existing set-up.

4.10's should help. I am torn on whether to get 4.11's or 3.73's. Just can't make up my mind. I don't really want to lose a lot of top end.

RE: Best way to launch
I'm too trying to get a 13 with my gt. I've gotten down to 14.2 by feathering the clutch at 2700 and then powershifting into second. This does cause the car to spin but it has gotten me my best time. I think next up grade is tires.

RE: Best way to launch
someone please explain how u "feather" the clutch? is that to let it out more slowly than droping it? and also how wuld u power shift second? if u get the rpms around 5k and pull into second, it will jus go in?
