i have a 02' gt 5 speed that only makes a screeching noise in 5th gear. it seems after the car warms up for a while it goes away. I've had a few responses already to this problem and others seem to be having the same issue.

Usually that is sign of bad out put bearing. Bad front bearing makes noise in 1st through 3rd and gone in 4 and bad out put bearing only makes noise in 5th.

to me that seems to be the best answer to it so far. does anyone have any other suggestions?
