Default Superchargers VS T Turbos.

its coming up on income tax time, and i'm thinking about making a big move for the stang. i know each has a high point, but wich is the BETTER to get? i have a 96gt and its pretty much stock with the exeption of a K&N cold air intake system. is there any mods i should make before getting one of the two??? if anyone has had one or another (or both) please feel free to put a word in, thanks.

Forged shortblock should come way before a turbo set up. You can use the stock shortblock with a supercharger and last a long time. Since your car is stock I wouldn't plan on big power right off the bat I would build the car and set it up right first. If you cant get the power to the ground or cant control it what good is it.

turbos are the best way to go, but they are expensive, timely and require a built motor... the s/c is great for a minimal time and money investment and still make great power, tuning is a big issue and s/c are much easier to tune and more widely understood.

if you want a big hp gain from your '96, i would start with some PI heads and exhaust. thats if you have that much to spend.

like said built block FOR SURE

after that all personal prefrence.

but psi for psi the turbo win's. and they can also make some HUGE number's on pump gas. when sized properly there is almost no lag and almost full boost at 3k

Id start off with some motor work and then decide how deep you want to dig in your pockets on your ride.
