well i took a couple hours today and swapped out the old pump for the svt one and dam those little 5 mm screws were a pita and it was geting dark so imagine doing it with a flashlight..after i was done i fired her up and she started up pretty nice the new pump is relatively quiet and i guess i did it right because it drove decent on the test drive..the car still feels a little bit week in power but idk if that was because my 300 pound cousin was in the passenger and i weigh another 220..it definately doesnt bog anymore on high rpms but i think the main culprit in the mustang runing crappy is still the timing chain being loose{thats what i thinnk it is} and i think a new clutch is needed as well..im glad saved a couple hundred bucks in the mechanic with labor but i need to take it in and give it a thourough check up and check my fuel pressure and everything else..well idk if it helped anyone but the pump is definately worth the price..

K I am very car illiterate and after that word maybe spelling is a problem also, but anyway I have a problem that sounds similar to this one. The only difference is that sometimes when I start it up it kinda starts flat like it almost doesnt want to start. Other times itll start fine and when I start to pull out itll kinda rev a little to about 2k rpms then back down and continue this until I restart my car. Any ideas? Oh yeah its a 2004 GT Automatic if that helps.

if your timing chain was on loose your car wouldnt be running.and you would be replacing a motor...
