Most of you know i wrecked my car last weekend and i was lucky enough to find a guy with a silver LE who is selling his hood (with the stripe and all). He told me to make an offer and i want it REALLY bad.... but i'm still at a loss as to where to start making the offer... i don't want him make way with more money than he intended but i also don't want him to think i'm some cheap biotch and forget about a deal. Any ideas on a good offer for the hood... it's pretty much a stock 2001 hood with a vinyl stripe that came on limited 99's

yeah that sounds about right.... $150.00, if he says no then $180.00, but thats as much as i would pay.

Play your cards. He's gonna want a lot since he knows your trying to match paint, PLUS the stripe. BUT tell him the paint wont match up and will need to be repainted...along with the front quarter panels and bumper being blended. I'd say if you offer him 150 he's gonna laugh in your face, but maybe it's a good starting point.

ive got one just like you need, a little diff silver color (yn) i wouldnt let it go for any less than 300.. Its got the stripe on it too and the hood scoop is painted black.....just my .02

Should there be a problem with paint matching since they are both 99 silver limiteds?

oh and btw i was thinking $350-400 for both hood and front bumper
