Head Off: Questions Galore
Unbolted the midpipe today, then took off the head and spilled coolant all over cause there was a shizload.
My helicoil looks fine, perhaps it went in a quarter of a centimeter too deep, but the plug sits about the same as it would in any other cylinder, so the plug isnt the problem.
Neither of the valves on cylinder #3 appear to be damaged, have any marks that would indicate any kind of foreign contact.
Head of the piston has nothing on it more than the knick we put on it doing the helicoil with the tap.
Somone please tell me whats going on.
One other thing, the crank on the cam is extremely!!!! difficult to turn, in fact, I cna only turn it a very very small fraction of the way around to make a revolution.

Sounds like a bent valve if you can hardly turn the cam gear. Now it should turn fairly hard if the head is off the car because you have to fight with the head moving. But if you can turn the other head much easier there's definately a problem with the valvetrain.
